Offsider

A second pair of eyes on every call.

The Offsider sits beside a staff member while they talk: who is on the line, what they bought before, the right talking point as the topic comes up, and a quiet nudge when the call drifts. Afterwards it writes up how the call went and what to try next time.

What the feature does

Beside the call, not in it

The agent answers the phone. The Offsider helps the person who takes the calls the agent hands over, and the calls the team makes themselves. It opens beside the dialler, in its own window or docked next to the dial pad, and fills in as the call goes.

Who is on the line

The caller card comes first: the name from the phonebook or a connected system, their last calls and what was said, open leads and anything the business promised them.

The right card at the right moment

Talking points, prices, objections and the business's own documents come up as the words are said, each marked with where it came from. Nothing is read out; the person stays in charge.

A nudge, not a script

On a sales call the Offsider knows the stages a good one goes through. When a question has not been asked, an objection has not been answered or the call is ending without a next step, it says so in one line.

Notes taken for you

Needs, objections, promises and next steps are written as people talk, beside the person's own notes, and filed on the call record when it ends.

Reviewed afterwards

Once the call ends, the Offsider marks it against the package's rubric: what went well, what to do differently, in the person's own words to read back. Theirs to keep; a manager sees the team's to coach.

Its own knowledge

Link the documents an Offsider should quote from in the knowledge base: the features, the price list, the comparison sheet. It quotes from those and nothing else.

Packages

A way of running a kind of call

An Offsider runs a package: the stages of the call, what to watch for, and how to mark the call afterwards. The first is Sales. A business can keep several Offsiders, one for new business and one for renewals, each with its own words and its own documents.

The Sales package takes a call through opening, finding out, showing how you help, handling what holds them back, and agreeing the next step. The guide sits on the screen from the first word, with the stage the call is at marked as it moves.

Under the package go the business's own words: what it sells, to whom, what a good call sounds like there. The Offsider reads them on every call and in every review, so the nudges fit the business, not a generic sales course.

Per person

Always on for some, on call for others

  1. Always on. A manager switches the Offsider on for a salesperson's every call. It opens whether they ask for it or not, and every call gets a review.
  2. Summon it mid call. For others the call's words are kept quietly. When a call turns into a sale, one press wakes the Offsider: it reads the call so far and the contact's past conversations, says where things stand and what to say next, and runs live from there.
  3. Turn it on before a call. Or pick it under the dial pad before ringing a prospect, and leave it off for the rest.

On every device

In the browser, on the desktop, on the phone

The Offsider opens beside the dialler in the browser and in the desktop app. On the phone app the same cards, nudges and notes appear on the call screen, and the review arrives as a notice once the call ends.

A call taken on a desk phone or an extension has no screen to prompt, so the Offsider does what it can: the review of the call reaches the person on their phone and on the call record once the transcript lands.

Sold through partners

For clients with people on the phone who sell

The Offsider suits a client whose team makes sales calls and wants them to go the same way every time, without a manager listening in. Offer it beside the dialler and the sales agent; you set the price. See the partner programme.
