Dialler

The call-back that goes on the record.

A staff member rings the customer back from a personal mobile, and that call vanishes. The dialler puts the call-back on the business's number, and on the record.

What the feature does

Ring from where the record is

A phone for the team inside the dashboard. No separate softphone, no copying numbers out, and the call lands on the same record as the agent's.

Call from any number

A lead on the board, a contact in the directory, a caller on a call record: wherever a number appears in the admin, there is a Call button beside it.

On the business's number

The customer sees the agent's number, or a team member's own direct line held on the platform. Staff mobiles stay private, and a customer who rings back reaches the agent.

Through a headset

The call runs through the browser and a headset at the desk. Nothing to install on the handset, and the staff member stays on the record they were reading.

Filed with agent calls

Recording, transcript and summary are filed with the agent's calls, on the same contact, so a lead's history reads as one thread whether the agent or a person was talking.

Counted separately

Dialler minutes are kept apart from agent minutes, so the business can see what its people spent on the phone and what the agent did, without the two blurring.

NZ and AU numbers

The dialler rings New Zealand and Australian numbers only. International calling is not part of it.

In the app

Answering the business line in the app

The dialler's other half. A person can pick up the business number in the app, so a call the business wants a human to take rings a staff member's phone through the app rather than the agent, and is still on the record.

Stated plainly: on Android the app rings normally. On iPhone it rings only while the app is open, so an iPhone user should not be sold this as a replacement for their mobile.

How it goes for the team

A lead on the board, a call from the desk

  1. A lead needs a human. The agent took an enquiry that wants to talk terms. It is on the leads board with its summary.
  2. Press Call. The staff member reads the summary, presses Call beside the number, and the call goes out through the headset on the business's number.
  3. Talk, with the record open. The transcript of the agent's call is on screen, so nobody asks the customer to repeat what they already said.
  4. It is filed. Recording, transcript and summary land on the same lead, and the pipeline stage is moved. Tomorrow's team sees the whole thread.

What the business gets

Every call on the record, including the human ones

One history per customer, whoever was talking. Staff mobiles kept off the customer's phone. A record of who rang whom, when, and what was said, with recordings on the same terms as agent calls: off until the business switches them on.

What the dialler does not do: show a number that is not held on the platform, such as the owner's personal mobile, or ring international numbers.

Sold through partners

For the clients whose staff live in the dashboard

The dialler suits a client whose team already works from the leads board and wants the call-backs on the record. You set the price; Talkgate runs the platform. Offer it beside the phone channel they already have; see the partner programme.

Works with

Wherever a number appears in the admin

Contacts imported from a connected system appear in the directory, and get a Call button like any other. See all integrations.

Press Call on a live account

A partner briefing shows a call placed from the leads board, the number the customer sees, and the recording landing on the same record.
